Indian Walls Are Not “Perfect Plaster Boards”
Most international paint brochures show interiors built on stable gypsum boards, perfect climate and controlled usage. India is divine, but technically challenging:
- Coastal humidity in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane causes sweating walls, micro-cracks and algae.
- Dry heat & dust pull moisture out of plaster and create hairline cracking.
- Old RCC structures keep moving slightly with temperature and vibration — paint films must flex.
- Seepage and terrace issues demand proper diagnosis, not just “one more coat”.
This is why DELECON® DESIGN CO. does not treat painting as a last-week formality. We treat it as a technical layer on top of your civil work, which must be designed correctly: surface preparation, putty, primer, undercoat, top coat and curing — all aligned to the chosen brand system.
When you work with us, you don’t get random “one boy and a brush” — you get a complete “Sure Work Process” for your walls, ceilings and wood surfaces.
Brand Ecosystem — Asian, Opus, Jotun Type Systems & Others
Over two decades we have worked with multiple systems from Asian Paints, Opus, Jotun and equivalent leading brands. Each family has products for:
- Interior plastic paint for basic rental or budget refresh.
- Royale / Lustre-type emulsions for smooth, rich, washable walls.
- Texture systems for feature walls and statement surfaces.
- Special marble-finish / designer finishes for premium highlights.
- Metal & zinc systems for grills, railings and industrial ceilings.
Our job is not to push one brand — our job is to read your wall and usage and choose the right combination of putty + primer + finish so that:
- The film breathes enough for your wall, but still protects from stains and moisture.
- The sheen level matches your lifestyle — children, pets, guests, décor, photos etc.
- Repainting in 5–7 years is easier, without heavy scraping or re-plastering.
During our DELECON® Live Workshops we display boards, show cross-sections and explain how a smart paint system is designed. The workshop is expensive to arrange — but it is free for our community as an education initiative.
PU, Laminate & Wood Polish — Simple Language, Deep Control
On furniture, doors and panelling, most issues come from confusion between laminate, veneer, melamine polish and PU. We explain it like this:
- Base material: plywood or MDF, which must be flat, dry and properly sanded.
- Veneer layer (if used): natural wood layer requiring jointing, pressing and edge detailing.
- Sealer / filler coats: fill the grain, block suction and create a uniform surface.
- Top coats – Melamine / PU: Melamine is economical & practical, PU is clearer, richer and more durable.
Both matt and glossy finishes can be achieved with the same PU system by adjusting the final coats. For high-gloss surfaces we insist on more intermediate sanding and dust control.
Laminate is a factory-finished sheet: very consistent, very durable, easy to maintain, but without the natural warmth of veneer + polish. So we often design a mix:
- Laminate for high-touch internal carcass and heavy-use zones.
- Veneer + PU on selected panels, backdrops and premium furniture.
In our painting & polish masterclass, we show live before / during / after boards so you can see what you are paying for — instead of guessing from a quotation line item.

DELECON® Live Workshop — See the Process, Not Just the Price
We strongly believe that the best client is an educated client. That’s why DELECON® periodically arranges live painting & polish workshops:
- Group of around 50 serious homeowners, architects and facility managers.
- Live demo boards of plastic paint vs Royale-type vs texture vs marble finishes.
- Side-by-side comparison of veneer + melamine vs veneer + PU vs laminate-only.
- Demonstration of surface preparation, putty, primer, sanding and final coats.
- Q&A with our technical team and brand representatives.
These events are actually expensive to organise — but we sponsor them, along with leading paint and polish brands, as a service to the DELECON® Interior Community.
When you join us, you are not just giving a paint contract — you are connecting directly with masters who can show and explain how to protect your home for the next 8–10 years.
